The aim of this project will be to clarify the role of cyclooxygenase (COX) pathway in endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) function and in particular the contribution of prostacyclin in homing, survival and proliferation of EPC. These results will be useful to the development of novel strategies of cell-based therapy of myocardial infarction.
