Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism laboratory

Areas of research:
Epidemiology of diabetes and its chronic complications.
Genotype / phenotype of type 2 diabetes at diagnosis.
Risk factors for diabetes and CVD.
Risk factors of chronic complications of diabetes.

The laboratory has collaborations with the laboratories of Paediatrics, Dermatology, Nephrology, Cardiology, Genetics, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Surgery and Nuclear Medicine within the University of Verona.

It collaborates with laboratories at other Italian universities: La Sapienza University in Rome, University of Pisa and University of Padova.

It collaborates with laboratories at foreign universities: University of Lund (Sweden), Harvard University, University of Texas at San Antonio (USA) and University of Bochum (Germany).
