Fabio Casciani, MD is a general surgeon trained in pancreatic surgery at the Unit of General and Pancreatic Surgery – The Pancreas Institute at the University of Verona Hospital Trust (Verona, Italy). Since 2021 he is a PhD candidate and research fellow at the same institution. In 2019-2020 he served as research scholar at the Department of Surgery of the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, Philadelphia – USA. In 2023 he received a Post-Doctoral research Fellowship from the Umberto Veronesi foundation, which has been now extended for 2024. His main fields of interest are clinical outcome assessment in pancreatic surgery as well as the multimodal treatment of pancreatic cancer.
