I am a scientist with extensive interdisciplinary expertise in Immunology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Neurology. My research focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying immune responses and neuroinflammation in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis, including the contribution of innate immune cells and systemic inflammation. I have a strong specialization in advanced microscopy techniques, including intravital and two-photon imaging, to investigate immune cell dynamics within the central nervous system. I am also interested in the gut–brain axis in neurodegeneration and have recently developed a growing interest in spatial transcriptomics to integrate molecular profiling with high-resolution imaging approaches.
